We’re in a waiting room. Whoever arrives here is prepared to take a trip from one side of the Atlantic to the other. There are many who will pass through this place, many who will cross paths while waiting, many stories that will fit into this time. Transatlântico is the meeting between Ricardo Neves-Neves and Companhia Maior, a collective of actors and actresses over 60 years old that, every year, is directed in a show by different artists, or artistic collective. In a farce, comedy or melodrama tone, the director continues his musical dramaturgy work, taking the sung word to the stage, and discovering new paths with this very special group of performers.
