Press Release

Inspired by the chapter “Advice from a Caterpillar” from Alice in Wonderland, this staged reading begins with Alice’s perplexity when faced with the question: “Who are you?” The character symbolizes the constant transformation of identity, the difficulty in defining ourselves, and the conflict between who we are, what we show, and what others see in us.
In this interplay between past, present, and future, we ask ourselves: is a name enough to define ourselves? And if we are always changing, how can we accurately answer the question: “Who am I?”

Through a dialogue between memories, descriptions, and the perspective of others, we explore the idea that perhaps only by knowing our own journey, from beginning to end, can we have an answer. And even then, it will always be partial, because—as Lewis Carroll reminds us—”the only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible.”

This project is part of the Theater and Citizenship initiative, which combines theater and philosophy to stimulate critical and collective thinking. Therefore, after the staged reading, there is always a philosophical café.
We believe that thinking in groups is more fun and that theater is a privileged space to share doubts, explore complex concepts, and find answers—even if provisional—to life’s big questions. It aims to be a place of encounter and reflection, where dialogue and imagination become tools for reflecting on identity, time, and our role in society.
